The Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd), Major in English is a four-year program designed to prepare students for a career in teaching English at various educational levels. The curriculum includes general education courses, core education subjects, and specialized courses in English language and literature. Students gain knowledge in teaching methodologies, curriculum development, assessment strategies, and classroom management, along with a deep understanding of English grammar, composition, and literary analysis. The BSEd curriculum is designed according to the principles of Outcomes-Based Education (OBE), the K-12 Education Program, and the New General Education Curriculum (NGEC).

Career Path:

• English Teacher (Secondary Education): Teaching English language and literature to students in high schools, developing lesson plans, and assessing student performance.

• ESL/EFL Teacher: Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or English as a Foreign Language (EFL) to non-native speakers, either domestically or abroad.

• Curriculum Developer: Designing and developing English language curricula and educational materials for schools, educational institutions, or publishing companies.

• Educational Consultant: Providing expert advice to schools and educational institutions on teaching strategies, curriculum development, and teacher training.
