STUDENT -AIDE EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (SAESP)
This program aimed to break down financial barriers for economically disadvantaged or poor students aspiring to pursue four-year college programs, with the exception of the BS in Nursing.
The heartbeat of SAESP lay in its commitment to providing deserving students with an opportunity to obtain higher education without the burden of tuition fees and miscellaneous expenses. However, this support came with a twist – a service-oriented reciprocity. In exchange for the financial assistance received, students were expected to dedicate their time and skills to the service of the school in a designated department.
The essence of this arrangement was to create a symbiotic relationship, where students not only gained access to education but also contributed meaningfully to the academic community. The service commitment varied, encompassing roles in administrative tasks, or as may be designated and assigned by the school administration.
To qualify for this scholarship program, students had to meet specific eligibility criteria. Demonstrating financial need was paramount, underscoring the program’s mission to uplift those facing economic hardships. Academic eligibility was also considered, ensuring that participants possessed the academic prowess necessary for successful completion of their chosen four-year college program.
The application process for SAESP required to submit Certificate of Indigency from the Barangay, Clearance of Being an Upright Person from the Barangay, Academic Records, Certificate of Good Moral Character from the School last attended. The goal was to ensure that the chosen beneficiaries were not only financially deserving but also academically capable and poised to make meaningful contributions to the school community.
As the program unfolded, it became a beacon of hope for students who, otherwise, might have found themselves on the sidelines of higher education due to financial constraints. The PPCI Student-Aide Educational Scholarship Program not only opened doors to academic advancement but also fostered a sense of community and shared responsibility, turning education into a collaborative endeavor between students and the Institution.
SOCIO-CULTURAL SCHOLARSHIP – Choir and Dance Troupe
This innovative program was designed not only to recognize and nurture the artistic talents of individuals passionate about dance but also to pave their way toward higher education by offering a distinctive exchange – a full-tuition scholarship in their chosen college program.
The scholarship was a celebration of the cultural vibrancy that dance brought to our community, acknowledging the profound impact of this art form on our collective identity. It aimed to support talented individuals who might face financial barriers in pursuing their academic dreams, thereby ensuring that economic constraints did not hinder the pursuit of artistic excellence.
To qualify for this unique scholarship, aspiring dancers were required to showcase their talents through auditions or portfolio submissions. The selection committee assessed not only the technical proficiency and creativity of the applicants but also their commitment and passion for the art of dance. While artistic merit was a significant criterion, the program also considered financial need, acknowledging that talent knows no socioeconomic boundaries.
Once awarded the Socio-Cultural Scholarship for the Dance Troupe, students embarked on a transformative journey. The scholarship covered the entirety of their tuition fees in their chosen college program, freeing them from the financial burdens that often accompany pursuing higher education.
